Project COST TD1201 „Colour and Space in Cultural Heritage“

In the European project COST “Color and Space in Cultural Heritage” (researchers and color in cultural heritage), the researchers from ÚM SAS in In 2016, they actively participated in the work of the WG2 working group and the solution of the “Roman silver coins” study. X-ray microtomographic methods for analysis, testing and documentation of historical artifacts of cultural heritage were developed and applied at the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In addition to the Institute of Measurement, many important scientific institutions from 27 European countries are involved in the project, while the scientific scope covers the areas of multispectral and hyperspectral imaging, X-ray computed tomography, scanning of 3D objects using structured lighting, laser scanning, terahertz imaging and other optical – physical methods. . The project was completed at the last meeting of the Steering Committee in Mainz, Germany in October 2016. The results were also presented in the form of a poster at the international conference Conference on Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archeology, Siena, Italy.
