The kick-off meeting of the COST Action project ANTICIPATE (CA24144)

⛈️ Towards a Safer Europe: Advancing Multi-Hazard Forecasting and Early Warning Systems ⛈️

On October 29, our PhD student Rado Košta participated in the kick-off meeting of the COST (The European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action project ANTICIPATE (CA24144), held in Brussels- link.

The ANTICIPATE project seeks to strengthen our ability to predict extreme weather and related hazards up to 46 days in advance. By uniting scientists and practitioners from diverse fields across Europe — including meteorology, extended-range prediction, risk analysis, disaster risk reduction, AI, and communication — the project builds a collaborative network to drive innovation in multi-hazard forecasting and early warning systems.

Rado will be working within the “Multihazard Impact and Databases” group, focusing on the analysis of meteorological data. The first meeting introduced the project structure and organized participants into working groups, marking the start of an exciting international collaboration.

Best of luck to the ANTICIPATE project as they work to advance innovation and strengthen resilience across Europe.
