Internships and part-time work for university students

Position:

The Institute of Measurement Science of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava offers part-time work for university students on solving partial tasks of scientific research projects in individual scientific departments of the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak Academy of Sciences:

We offer work on interesting topics and, after agreement, the prospect of continuation of professional career. For those interested, we offer a selection of topics for bachelor’s and master’s theses, and for successful candidates, we offer the opportunity to continue their doctoral studies.

The Institute functions as an external educational institution of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava where it conducts full-time and external doctoral studies in the study program “Measurement Technology” (in the field of Electrical Engineering) and as an external educational institution of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of Comenius University. in Bratislava for doctoral studies in full-time and part-time form in the study program “Applied Mathematics” (in the study field of Mathematics).

Employment relationship specification:

Agreement on temporary student work for a definite period of time, assumption 40 hours / Month.

Job:

The scope of work corresponds to the requirements of individual scientific departments of the IMS SAS.

Department of Optoelectronic Measuring Methods:

  • We are looking for a student with programming skills in the field of microcomputers and some higher programming language (C / C ++, or Visual C / Basic).

  • We are looking for a student from the field of electrical engineering for the development and use of hardware and software for specialized scientific experiments.

  • We are looking for a student for data analysis with a solid foundation in the field of applied mathematics, probability and mathematical statistics, respectively. machine learning, with good skills and experience with programming in MATLAB and R.

  • We are looking for a student from the field of radio electronics, for the design, testing and application of high-frequency and low-frequency electronic modules.

Salary conditions:

Agreement on the student’s part-time work, assumption 40 hours / month. Salary € 200 per month in accordance with applicable legislation.

Professional requirements for the applicant:

University student at I. resp. II. university degree in the relevant field of study at FEI STU, FMFI UK, resp. equivalent (electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, informatics).

Ongoing. In the case of filling a position in the selected department, the offer is valid for other vacancies, until the filling of all offered positions for part-time work of the student.

Start date:

According to the agreement.
