Visiting Kutná Hora Medical s. r. o.
Earlier this week, the Institute of Measurement Science, Slovak Academy of Sciences, together with colleagues from the Kutná Hora Medical Centre, visited the Rehabilitation Institute Kladruby.
During the visit, the team presented an innovative rehabilitation system that combines brain-computer interfaces (BCI) with head-mounted display virtual reality (HMD VR) to support recovery after stroke.
A key element of the system is the collaborative virtual reality platform, developed by our colleagues at the Technical University of Košice, which allows both patients and therapists to engage together in the same immersive environment.
The project develops a novel patient–therapist collaborative framework that integrates:
- BCI for neural activity monitoring
- VR for immersive rehabilitation experiences
The project is led by Dr. Roman Rosipal and his research team, who bring extensive expertise in brain-computer interfaces, virtual reality applications, and advanced data analysis methods.
We are excited to continue building this collaboration and advancing the future of neurorehabilitation.
