High Resolution Measurement and Model Based Analysis of Cardiac Electric Field

Bilateral SAS - PAS project

Duration of the project: 1/2007 - 12/2009

Cooperating institutions: Institute of Measurement Science SAS, Bratislava; Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warszawa

Responsible investigators: Dr. Milan Tyšler, prof. Roman Maniewski

Aim of the project is research of new methods for noninvasive identification of the functional state of the heart using high resolution multilead ECG measurements from the chest surface and model-based detection of local pathological changes in the myocardium that lead to arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death of patients after myocardial infarction. The project includes noninvasive measurements in cooperation with medical centers in both countries using high resolution ECG measuring systems.
