Research of optical measuring methods and techniques of fast control of precise mechanical components surfaces

Institutional project

Project duration: 07/2006 - 01/2007

Head of the project: RNDr. Miroslav Hain

Funding: costs covered from concractual research project for Mesing Company, CR

Results:

The optical contactless method of testing microscopic surface defects was well-developed, based on laser light dispersion reflected from tested surface. Sensor with diode laser and silicon detector in coaxial configuration of high sensitivity was designed and realized and is currently tested on precise products of bearing and motoring industry.

Information and results obtained by solving this project were utilized for solving the project of contractual research (Mesing, CR – sensor for fast contactless retrieval of microscopic defects on the surface of bearing bodies).
