The XXIXth conference Days of the Medical Biophysics 2006 (Dni lekárskej biofyziky 2006) was held on May 16 - 18, 2006 in the ExpoClub Incheba in Bratislava.

The conference was organized by the Institute of Medical Physics and Biophysics, School of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava in cooperation with Incheba, Ist Radiological Clinics and Department of Nursing of the School of Medicine CU in Bratislava, Slovak Radiological Society and Institute of Measurement Science SAS. The conference was technically sponsored by IMEKO TC-13 committee. In the conference took part 110 participants from 6 countries. In 5 sessions 80 papers and posters were presented, also Young investigator award was awarded.

The conference is devoted to problems of medical physics and biophysics and their connections with information and communication technologies, telemedicine and biomedical engineering. The papers were oriented to results of basic and applied research, diagnistic and therapeutic processes and to education inthis field.
