Research and implementation of methods and systems for monitoring (measuring) of tilt of nuclear power plant reactors for the completion of Mochovce NPP

The project is aimed at the development of methods and systems for  measurement of nuclear power plant reactors tilt

Project duration: 12/2009 - 12/2012

Project leader: Ing. Lubomir Ondriš, PhD.

Project Objectives: The project aims to research and implementation of methods and systems for long-term continuous measurement of inclination of reactor pressure vessels in nuclear power plants. Inspection of inclination of reactor pressure vessels is one of the parameters, which are required for the safety of operating of nuclear power plants. As for such measurements a relatively high accuracy and long-term stability of measurement system is required, research of measurement methods is needed; as well as their implementation in the form of automated measuring systems.

The results of the solutions will be used for completion of the 3-rd and 4-th block in NPP Mochovce.
