We applied the inverse methods to realistic ECG measurements of patients with premature ventricular activity (PKA) performed in collaboration with the National Institute of Cardiac and Vascular Diseases in Bratislava, also to data from an available database. We compared the results of the localization of the area of PKA onset calculated both by using a simple dipole and also by calculating the so-called activation time on the heart from the potentials on the cardiac surface. We calculated the localization error (LE) between the obtained inversion problem result and the site of invasive inactivation of the PKA origin, which was marked by the cardiologist who performed the procedure. Results from the database and measurements showed the stability and greater accuracy of the dipole method (LE = 25,28,30mm) compared to the potential method (LE = 23,38,31mm).
