Majerov\u00e1, D. Galusek, M. Mich\u00e1lkov\u00e1, A. Talimian, A. Prnov\u00e1<\/p>\n<p>The research was focused on the development of a new type of aluminosilicate glasses and glass-ceramics with luminescent properties. The effect of Bi on the crystallization kinetics of the gelenite (2CaO-Al2O3-SiO2) glass was investigated. The obtained knowledge can be used in the preparation of gelenite glass-ceramics, since glass-ceramics are produced by controlled crystallization of glasses. As a result of our research, the effect of Bi addition does not significantly affect the crystallization properties of the gelenite glass prepared by conventional melting.
